• Account & profile data: Name, email, phone number, username, date of birth, gender, address, country, favourite club/position, and profile photo.
• Identity verification (KYC): Government identifiers such as BVN and NIN, proof-of-identity and proof-of-address documents, and related verification status.
• Financial & payment data: Wallet activity, deposits, withdrawals, competition entry fees, bank name/code, account name and number, and transaction history processed via payment partners.
• Location data: Approximate or precise location (including latitude/longitude) when you choose to share it for profile or service features.
• Usage & device data: Predictions, competitions, app interactions, IP address, browser or device type, user-agent, push notification identifiers, and analytics events.
• Support data: Messages, tickets, and other information you send when contacting support.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including predictions, competitions, leaderboards, wallets, and account management.
• To process payments, entry fees, prizes, deposits, and withdrawals, and to verify identity where required.
• To send transactional notices (OTP, security alerts, competition updates) and, where permitted, product communications.
• To analyse usage, prevent fraud, enforce our policies, and comply with legal obligations.

Data Sharing

• Service providers: We share data with providers that help us operate the Service, including payment processing (e.g. Paystack), identity verification (e.g. Prembly), SMS delivery (e.g. Termii), analytics (e.g. Amplitude), push notifications (e.g. OneSignal), and cloud file storage for uploads.
• Admins: Limited user data may be accessible to authorised PlayPick administrators for support, moderation, and operations.
• Legal: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• No sale: We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations (including financial and KYC records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction: Update inaccurate information via your profile settings or by contacting us.
• Deletion: Delete your account in Settings (web or mobile) by confirming with your password, or email support@playpick.app to request erasure, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Communications: Opt out of non-essential marketing emails where offered; transactional and security messages may still be sent.

International Data Transfers

Your data is processed primarily in connection with our operations in Nigeria. Some service providers may process data in other countries. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act / NDPR and other applicable laws.

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, functionality, analytics, and personalisation. You may disable cookies via your browser settings, though this may affect Service usability.
